Plant-Spirit Alchemical Shamanism

Shamanism is the world’s oldest religion and spiritual practice based on the fundamental beliefs that all things are sentient, and everything is interconnected, be it animals, plants, humans, crystals, soil, celestial bodies. Shamanic practices, as varied as they are, have existed since the beginning of time, and transcend all differences, universally weaving through all civilizations, all cultures and all belief systems. The core beliefs are echoed across all religious and spiritual systems of the world. In India, the Vedanta and Upanishads state that everything is brahman, in the same way that Shamans believe everything has a soul or consciousness.

Alchemy, the ancient practice of transformation and transmutation, has a rich and fascinating history spanning thousands of years. Its origins can be traced back to several civilizations and cultures, each contributing unique teachings and perspectives to the field, from ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Hellenistic Greece and the Islamic Golden Age. In Europe, the practice of Alchemy gave birth to modern day chemistry. Alchemy’s profound teachings go beyond the quest for transforming base metals into gold; it delves into the transformation of the self and the attainment of spiritual enlightenment. At the core of alchemical philosophy lie the three essential stages – Nigredo, Albedo, and Rubedo. Each stage represents a vital aspect of the alchemist’s journey towards self-discovery, purification, and the ultimate realization of the divine within. Alchemists believe that everything in the universe is interconnected and influenced by universal principles, and through the transmutation of elements, they seek to achieve spiritual enlightenment and personal transformation.

Infusing Shamanism and Alchemy, creates a holistic practice focused on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals and communities. It embraces the idea that illness and imbalance are caused by disharmony and disconnection from nature and the spirit world, and that journeying through the realms to gain knowledge, receive guidance, and perform healing work is necessary. Plants, oils, crystals, smudges, resins, tinctures, are all guides in healing.

Throughout history, Shamans and Alchemists have played essential roles in their communities. They have been the healers, the spiritual leaders, and the mediators between humans and the divine. Their wisdom, knowledge, and ability to navigate the unseen realms have been invaluable in maintaining the balance and harmony of their communities. Today, theses ancient wisdom, mystical, and natural practices are key to assisting the Earth and Humanity through a shift in consciousness, providing a way to connect back to Source, through nature, plants and the exploration of the depths of consciousness.
